DAB energy saving
From 1st July 2023, EU Regulation 2019/1781, as amended by EU Regulation 2021/341, comes into force at European level, establishing new ecodesign requirements for the placing on the market or putting into service of single-phase electric motors and variable speed drives.
The aim is to further raise the performance requirements, thereby decreasing the environmental impact and consumption of resources.
From this date onwards, all surface pumps with air-cooled single-phase motors with a rated power between 120 W and 1000 kW must be equipped with an IE2-efficiency motor.

If the pump was produced before the 1st of July 2023 there is no legal reason to change it, the EU 2019/1781 – EU 2021/341 regulation published on February 3, 2023 enters into force on July 1, 2023 and establishes new ecodesign specifications for placing on the market. market or the commissioning of single-phase electric motors, according to which all newly produced surface pumps, with air-cooled single-phase motors with nominal power between 120 W and 1000 kW, must necessarily be equipped with a motor rated of IE2 efficiency, in order to reduce the environmental impact and also the energy and economic expenditure.
